One of my favorite parts in the book is when Alice Walker brings up "the color purple."  This is a pivotal point in the book for Celie.

While searching for the clip above, I came across this clip, which shows how poorly Celie is treated by Pa.  It also shows how strong of a bond Celie and Nettie have.
